Effect of influencing parameters on developing aluminium metal foam by using powder metallurgy technique with a foaming agent as a wax powder

Aluminum metal foam has become an advanced popular material because it excellent mechanical and electrical properties is lightweight. The present work developed the Aluminium specimen using wax powder as a blowing agent through metallurgy method. effect of process parameters such size, stirring speed, sintering temperature, foaming content on behavior specimens been studied experimentally. In design experiments, Taguchi orthogonal L9 array implemented. percentage porosity was estimated Archimedes principle, behaviors flexural, tensile, compressive strength were determined. ANOVA analysis variance it’s carried out to check significant affecting specimens. It observed that size highly parameter, followed by agent, temperature. Maximum Porosity 71.30%, Compression 12.01 MPa, Tensile 6.16 Flexural 5.18 MPa. microstructure study reveals there no adequate composition in specimen. novelty this research novel Wax develop aluminium attain good properties.
